Mike Pride is a New Hampshire author and historian, as well as the former editor of the ''Concord Monitor'' of Concord, New Hampshire. He is the author or co-author of several books on the Civil War and WW2. ==Journalism== A lifelong journalist, Pride joined the Concord Monitor as the managing editor in 1978, and became editor after 5 years. Due to New Hampshire's early primary and the candidates that make the rounds in the state, the Monitor has a significant national exposure. As a journalist, he won a Nieman Fellowship at Harvard University (1985), and was named National Press Foundations Editor of the Year Award in 1987. He was also a member of the Pulitzer Prize board for 9 years, ending as co-chair.
